Workers Compensation PolicyCalifornia Council of Community Mental Health Agencies (CCCMHA) participates in a group worker’s compensation program through the State Compensation Insurance Fund (State Fund) called California Healthcare Providers Services (CHPS). There is no cost to any CCCMHA member agency to participate in the program. The advantage in participating is that State Fund offers a discounted rate to group members. Presently, Buckelew Programs, Inc., Bonita House, Mental Health Association of Santa Barbara, Anka Behavioral Health Inc., Child and Family Guidance Center, Momentum, Turning Point, Inc., Turning Point Foundation, Social Model Recovery and Baker Places, Inc. are members of CHIPS and are receiving a 6% savings on their workers compensation premium. If your workers compensation classification code is 8804, 8810, 8834 or 8742 you may qualify for CHPS and a 6% discount on your workers compensation. If you are not eligible to be a member of CCCMHA but your workers compensation classification code is one of those listed above, you may become a member of California Healthcare Providers Services without becoming a member of CCCMHA. However, if you are eligible for membership in CCCMHA you must become a CCCMHA member in order to participate in the CHPS program. CHPS membership application and conversion forms for individual state fund members and brokered state fund members are located here to assist you in joining CHPS. Please feel free to call me at 916/557-1166 or e-mail me at peasley@cccmha.org and I will be happy to assist you in becoming a member of CHPS. |
