Mental Health Campaigns

Information about the Elimination of Barriers Initiative and the Mental Health Association’s Transition Age Youth Empowerment Project can be found in this section.  The Elimination of Barriers Initiative (EBI) was a 3-year initiative launched in September 2003 by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration [SAMHSA] aimed at identifying effective public education approaches to counter the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illnesses.

The Transition Age Youth Empowerment Project aims to create a statewide network of youth advocates who would eventually coordinate mental health policy for other youth.
