Transition Age Youth (TAY) Empowerment ProjectThe Mental Health Association in California is in the beginning stages of creating a statewide youth advocacy network as a component of a Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Empowerment Project. The mission is to empower and inspire youth who are a part of the Transitional Age Youth community to create positive change in the mental health system. A key goal is to help bring youth voice to the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) planning and implementation process. Various documents about the project are included in this section including the project mission and vision statement, a youth friendly Mental Health Services Act fact sheet, and a handout which simply describes a youth advocate. There is also a survey included; it has been sent to hundreds of potential youth advocates in California. Please take a look around!
